New Bond Limited Actively Responds to the 2025 Policy Address to Promote Hong Kong Tourism and Multicultural Development

Hong Kong – New Bond Limited, and Tai Pak Floating Restaurant welcomes the policy directions outlined by Hong Kong’s Chief Executive, John Lee, in the 2025 Policy Address delivered on September 17, 2025. Particularly, the initiatives aimed at boosting luxury tourism and promoting multicultural development resonate strongly with the restaurant's goals. As one of Hong Kong's most iconic landmarks, Tai Pak Floating Restaurant is fully committed to aligning with these policies by introducing innovative services and diverse tourism projects to enhance the development of Southern District tourism and reinforce Hong Kong's position as a global tourism hub.

Supporting Luxury Yacht Tourism and Advancing Marine Dining Services

The Policy Address emphasises the need to drive the growth of the luxury yacht tourism market and enhance Hong Kong’s appeal as an international travel destination. Tai Pak new renovated kitchen boat is set to return to Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter by the end of 2025. Seizing this opportunity, the restaurant will introduce low-altitude economic delivery and takeaway services, providing exclusive dining options to yacht passengers. New Bond plan to launch the "Tai Pak Culinary Journey," transforming a corner of a former fish barge into the Dragon and Phoenix Hall scene on the second floor of the Tai Pak Floating Restaurant. A special Tai Pak menu featuring signature dishes such as Flaming Drunken Shrimp and Shredded Chicken & Fish Maw Soup will be introduced, providing visitors with an immersive dining experience.

• Leveraging innovative technology, yacht travelers can enjoy gourmet seafood dishes prepared by Tai Pak without needing to disembark, creating a seamless experience between luxury yacht tourism and marine dining.

• This service will further consolidate Hong Kong’s position as the premier hub for luxury yacht tourism in the Asia-Pacific region.

Promoting Multicultural Exchange with Halal-Friendly Dining Options

The Policy Address advocates for fostering multicultural inclusivity and attracting international visitors from diverse cultural backgrounds. In response, Tai Pak will introduce Halal-friendly dining services:

• Offering halal-certified dining options to cater to the dietary needs, further supporting Hong Kong’s development as a multicultural tourism city.

Developing Cultural Tourism and Creating Unique Experiences in the Southern District

The Policy Address highlights the importance of leveraging local cultural and natural resources to promote regional tourism projects. Centered on the concept of "Tai Pak Cultural Tourism," the restaurant will launch the following iconic tours to drive tourism in the Southern District:

  1. Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter Tour: Visitors can board traditional sampans to explore the typhoon shelter and experience the unique charm of Hong Kong’s fishing village culture.

  2. Island Hopping Tour: Connecting multiple islands in the Southern District, travelers can explore Lamma Island, Po Toi Island, and other destinations, discovering their natural beauty and local culture for a fresh travel experience.

  3. Splash@Aberdeen: Offer kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding water activities, allowing participants to uncover the unique culture of Hong Kong's floating restaurants while enjoying the breathtaking coastal scenery of the Southern District.

These cultural tourism experiences will not only boost tourism in the Southern District but also showcase Hong Kong’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty to international visitors.
